The group is now working on Facebook, and I admit, I could use some tips myself to maneuver around over there. My first big stumbler was the Facebook link, and I learned today how to convert my ugly Facebook url to something memorable. Here's how:
Go to http://tinyurl.com/ and instead of converting to a tinyurl, create an alias. My new one to Facebook is http://tinyurl.com/Daniatblogbooktours thanks to Blog Book Tours class participant, Bob Sanchez. So much easier to remember, and I highly recommend you all convert your Facebook links to something nicer and much easier to remember.
Next challenge - how to get around that miserable word verification issue?
Then - how to get and use the Twitter apps?
Finally - how to get friends without overdoing it and getting in trouble?
Is it just me who feels like Facebook is a tad too complicated to maneuver?

I didn't like facebook
Thanks for the great hint, Dani! I created my alias for my Facebook account and used it when I created my record for the Murder Must Advertise database.
Facebook is MUCh better than MySpace - and contains a more mature audience.
I don't know more than the basics though. But it's a pretty simple site.
(Now if you ever join the social network DeviantArt, I could help you!)

I'm finding Facebook a bit of a technical challenge, but then, a lot of the social networking and Internet stuff is a techno challenge for me.
Instead of making myself nuts trying to figure it all out at once, I've decided to try one thing at a time. First up is to take a deep breath and let it out slowly. :-)
I have a presence on Facebook, but don't use it much. Twitter is more practical for me at least at this space and time.

Thanks for the tip. Very useful. I like Facebook a lot and have pulled a lot of traffic to my blog through it. I limit the number of applications I participate in and find it fairly easy. It all took time though.
Wow. I was actually able to do this. I feel like such a techie! Thanks for the hint.
