Usually I'm sitting sideways on the sofa with my feet on the cushions, knees bent to prop up the pad. When I key it into my desktop, it is slightly revised.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241362000528307226.post-71068542437611676492008-08-22T10:03:00.000-07:002008-08-22T10:03:00.000-07:00I LOVE my Alpha! My pal and writing partner T.Chris Martindale (if you like horror novels, check his out) loaned me Alpha (it's a 'she' and I call her Alpha 'cause she rules in our relationship) and I love her. So convenient and I would NOT want email on her. She's the old style, before Neo even. Does the job perfectly well.Dana Fredstihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12802936840624512415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241362000528307226.post-84672483769701230852008-08-22T05:29:00.000-07:002008-08-22T05:29:00.000-07:00I've never heard of an Alphie before - sounds like...I've never heard of an Alphie before - sounds like a great tool. I've been looking for a way to get my Mom set up with email capability. This may be it. I'll check it out.

I have two indispensable tools - my laptop (never leave home with out it) and Mark Phillips. Mark is a walking dictionary/thesaurus and a genius at writing action scenes. I also always carry a pen (love the way they glide over paper) and notebook (the paper kind) because batteries never go dead in those.Charlotte Phillipshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09336641340221491792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241362000528307226.post-36266993582785117512008-08-22T05:12:00.000-07:002008-08-22T05:12:00.000-07:00I'm not sure which is more important to me, my lap...I'm not sure which is more important to me, my laptop or my wireless router.
I can sit anywhere I want in the house and out and write.
cmrChris Reddinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00429148293004912993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241362000528307226.post-18622438986446548402008-08-21T17:48:00.000-07:002008-08-21T17:48:00.000-07:00I love my D430 laptop computer. It's light enough t...I love my D430 laptop computer.
It's light enough to carry to and from
the train
I get lots of writing done on the while
commuting.
Morgan Mandel
http://morganmandel.blogspot.comMorgan Mandelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10118929301591850918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241362000528307226.post-50772278349272386532008-08-21T17:44:00.000-07:002008-08-21T17:44:00.000-07:00Sounds great, especially for those days when I can...Sounds great, especially for those days when I can't keep myself from going on the Internet and checking my email constantly!Karen Kirkpatrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11851557636119759185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241362000528307226.post-30177364861046600242008-08-21T16:20:00.000-07:002008-08-21T16:20:00.000-07:00My bf has an alphie and loves it. A small cheap notebook and some of those mechanical pencils that you can get a whole bunch cheap. Sounds crazy, but I've written some of my best stuff at odd times with those. Usually, it's during waiting at the doctor's office and picking up daughter from softball. No place for a laptop, but the notebook works great.

Teagan Oliver
www.TeaganOliver.blogspot.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241362000528307226.post-23972929380701199972008-08-21T16:00:00.000-07:002008-08-21T16:00:00.000-07:00Having no other "tool" I have to pick my desktop c...Having no other "tool" I have to pick my desktop computer. My guess is no, since it's essentially a word processer. I don't think it has memory that would recognize a jump drive plugged into it. You'd have to upload to a text file on your computer, then transfer that to an external drive. I think. Their customer service could tell you though.Danihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14471919576687777886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241362000528307226.post-39531385011363790752008-08-21T13:22:00.000-07:002008-08-21T13:22:00.000-07:00Sounds wonderful--but I think I'll always prefer m...Sounds wonderful--but I think I'll always prefer my notebook and pen --especially when on the go.
